OK, the air filter was free of oil, so the dealer led me astray. I have tightened up every bolt I could reach and replaced the oil. Crossing my fingers and thanks to everyone for their comments.
Any other ideas are appreciated. I really like the bike and wish I had a newer one with a 5th gear. Good riding to all of you Savages. I
